SPACE AND NAVAL WARFARE SYSTEMS COMMAND (SPAWAR)

SEARCH SPAWAR JOBS

The Integrated Logistics Center's Waterfront & Logistics Support program supports the Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) through the installation of modern, highly advanced communications and networking systems aboard active U.S. Navy ships. The services involved in these complex and technically demanding installations involve inventory of installation equipment prior to job start; removal of obsolete equipment; and installation of new equipment. Team members assigned to an installation run and pull cable throughout the ship; fabricate multi-pin connectors, and build Multi-Cable Transit systems, among other related tasks. The ultimate goal is the successful installation and preparation of the new system for testing in the post-install phase.

We are seeking candidates with experience with cableways, various military style connectors, electrical/structural installation, power modifications, military networking and communications systems, CAT-5, CAT-5e & CAT-6 wiring; Alteration Installation Team (AIT) knowledge; understanding of Ship Installation Drawings; familiarity with shipboard / shipyard environment; understanding of shipboard processes, standards, and procedures.

Opportunities for this effort are available in San Diego, Calif. and some positions may require occasional travel.

Candidates may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
