AEGIS Training and Readiness Center (ATRC)
The Aegis Training and Readiness Center (ATRC) Dahlgren provides Operational & Maintenance training to the enlisted sailors operating & maintaining the Aegis Weapon System (AWS). We provide operational and employment training to the Junior Officers and Department Heads reporting to Cruisers or Destroyers standing the Tactical Action Officer (TAO) or Anti-Air Warfare Coordinator (AAWC) watch stations.
ATRC Dahlgren provides Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) Tactical Operations training for all Combat information Center (CIC) operators reporting to a BMD platform. The BMD training provides the minimum requirements in support of the ships' BMD certification. We provide training to the Perspective Executive Officers (PXO) and Perspective Commanding Officers (PCO) on the operational requirement to manage and employ their AWS effectively.
